Job summary

Michels Energy Group, Inc. is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator I. The role involves site visitations, audits, incident investigations, and emergency response across projects in the United States.

You will support operations by communicating and enforcing HSE programs through trainings and onboarding new hires. Applicants should have minimal safety experience, with preference for oil/gas exposure, a driver’s license, and bilingual English/Spanish.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 0 years of experience in a safety role, and 2 years in oil or gas industry.
• Experience with transmission lines preferred.
• Board of Certified Safety Professionals and/or Certified Utility Safety Professional credentialing (desired).
• A valid driver license and acceptable driving record.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible and varied schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to travel up to 100% of the time across the United States.
• Rotations of 30 days on and 10 days off.

Responsibilities

• Perform job-site visitations, audits, incident investigations, and emergency response.
• Assist operations with compliance and communication of existing HSE programs via meetings, trainings and new hire orientations.
• Travel to projects across the United States.
