Job summary

United Pacific in Long Beach, CA is seeking an HR Business Partner Manager to lead the HRBP team across the Northwest region and partner with operations leaders. This role focuses on aligning HR strategies with business goals and coaching store and district managers.

The candidate will travel frequently (50%+), drive employee relations, change management, performance processes, and policy implementation, while ensuring compliance with federal and California laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field.
• 5–10 years’ experience in human resources, in multi-unit environments.
• 5 years’ experience in HR or operational leadership in retail, c-store or QSR industries.
• Prior experience leading other HR team members is strongly preferred.
• Strong business judgment and strategic orientation, linking HR with business goals.
• Working knowledge of compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and CA employment laws.
• Experience in multi-state environments is beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to travel more than 50% of the time.
• Proven ability to work with all levels of employees.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; HRIS (ADP) experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic HR partner to Operations Leaders and field HRBPs across regions.
• Lead Employee Relations, Change Management, Talent Management, Benefits processes and policy application.
• Coach and guide field leaders and store/managers to align HR with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with federal and California employment laws across multi-state operations.
• Collaborate with corporate Support Center (Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Training, Payroll, Legal).
