Job summary

ONroute in Ontario seeks an HR Generalist to act as first point of contact for field operations staff, deploying HR policies and programs while handling confidential information with discretion.

You will support recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, and HR data integrity, with emphasis on compliance, payroll and benefits administration, and data-driven insights to improve retention.

Qualifications

• Degree in human resources or a related field is required.
• 2–4 years of HR Generalist experience, ideally in multi-unit setting.
• Strong communication and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for field teams on HR inquiries.
• Partner with field ops to develop recruitment strategies and metrics.
• Advise managers on employee relations and policy compliance.
• Administer HR records and ensure statutory compliance.
• Support benefits, payroll enrolments, and attendance management.
• Maintain HRIS records and generate analytics on turnover and engagement.
