Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is hiring a Regional HR Generalist for the Western Division (California), covering Southern California locations from Escondido to Chula Vista. The role emphasizes employee relations, labor relations, and strategic HR support across up to 10 sites.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HR/OD with labor contract negotiations experience, and is comfortable traveling 75–80% for day trips and occasional overnights. A strong industrial sector background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, IR, BA or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in HR or Organization Development; 2+ years in labor contract negotiations.
• Experience in an industrial environment; knowledge of heavy industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise regional leadership to identify obstacles and improve organizational effectiveness.
• Lead change initiatives and support new company and division initiatives.
• Partner with hiring managers in interviews to provide HR feedback and guidance.
• Support labor contract negotiations, data gathering, and grievance handling.
• Represent the Division on company-wide project teams and use HR systems effectively.
