Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of algebra, geometry and trigonometry and ability to apply formulas.
• Proficient with iPad, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Dropbox or OneDrive.
• Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret roadway, bridge and structure plans and contract specs.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspecting roadways and structures during construction with supervision.
• Perform calculations and computations for various project items.
• Conduct materials sampling and testing and collect weigh tickets.
• Monitor inspection work on highway projects and maintain daily records.
• Prepare monthly project estimates and field measurements to determine pay quantities.
• Read plans and blueprints to guide field activities.
