Job summary

Irving Oil seeks a Field Helper in Rutland, VT to assist a licensed Fuel Delivery Driver. You will perform physical labor, support vehicle operations, and help with on-site tasks while prioritizing safety and efficient delivery.

You will work closely with the driver, handling loading/unloading, lifting, and daily job duties, with on-the-job training and opportunities to grow within a safety-driven, community-focused employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years’ Commercial Transportation experience.
• Basic mathematical skills, attention to detail, strong customer service, and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with items to be loaded off the trucks.
• Assist with manual labor, lifting, carrying, and delivering items.
• Assist the driver with all equipment needed throughout the day.
• Help hold items in place as required during operations.
• Support on-site tasks as part of daily duties.

Job description

As a Field Helper, you will work alongside a licensed Fuel Delivery Driver to support the safe and efficient transport of petroleum products. Your goal will be to assist the driver by performing physical labor, paying attention to safety protocols, and a willingness to assist with both vehicle operations and on-site tasks. Your success will be determined by your collaboration with the driver on delivering the product to the customer.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assist the driver with any items that need to be loaded off the trucks
• Assist with manual labor components as well as lifting, carrying, holding in place and retrieving/delivering items
• Assist the driver with any items that need to be loaded off the trucks
• Assist the driver with all equipment is needed throughout the day
• Assist with helping to hold any necessary items in place

Your Skills:

Your Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• Minimum 2 years’ Commercial Transportation experience

The expected hourly range for this position is $18.00-$21.60 Placement within range will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
