Job summary

William R Nash Group in Florida is seeking a Florida Field Employee to assist tradesmen and machine operators at Tamarac and other service areas. This non-exempt role offers an opportunity to learn construction tasks while contributing to safe, high‑quality on-site work.

You will unload, carry and distribute materials, prepare and apply construction materials, read a tape measure, and maintain daily housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Team player and ability to learn new functions quickly.
• Proficiency in English and/or Spanish for on-site communication and training.

Salary: Commensurate with experience + Benefits

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for assisting tradesmen and machine operators.

Essential Functions

• Assist tradesmen and machine operators perform daily tasks
• Unload, carry, and distribute materials
• Prepare and apply construction materials
• Maintain housekeeping daily
• Put safety first at all times
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Work both inside and outside environments
• Have reliable transportation and willingness to go to job sites in our service areas
• Own all hand tools needed as described in WRN’s tool list
• Be willing to learn new tasks
• Read a tape measure accurately or learn to do so quickly
• Perform tasks safely and with quality
• Be reliable
• Work overtime as required
• Work at various heights above the floor using ladder, scaffold, and manlift when required
• Work in excavated trenches
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Assist the mechanic in the trade being performed
• Bring optimization to work each day
• Maintain confidentiality

Job Requirements

• Team player and able to learn new functions quickly
• Successfully complete the Human Resources onboarding process and pass the Safety Orientation training without interpreter assistance, fully understanding instructor content and passing associated exams independently
• Receive and understand instructions from supervisor and communicate directly without interpretation services
• Proficiency in English and/or Spanish, spoken and written, as it is the primary language used on the job site for communication, training, and instructions
