Job Summary

The Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing daily on‑site activities. The role requires engaging with design professionals, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other personnel to plan, coordinate, and safely execute work according to contract documents, schedule, and budget. The superintendent works closely with the Project Manager and fulfills an integral role on the project.

Essential Functions
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance.
  • Follow the direction of the Field Operations Manager.
  • Direct supervision and management of crew.
  • Supervise, direct, and coordinate labor activity.
  • Coordinate the delivery of tools, materials, and equipment, both scheduling and quantities.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other trades and subcontractors on site.
  • Daily management of construction schedule.
  • Read, understand, and communicate construction documents such as drawings, scopes of work, schedules, specifications, safety manuals, and supervisor manual.
  • Process paperwork, time sheets, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Attend job‑site progress and coordination meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Coordinate with BIM and fabrication.
  • Resolve problems or conflicts independently and adapt to changing situations.
  • Apply knowledge of construction site activities, scheduling, and planning concepts.
  • Ensure knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Have knowledge of the plumbing and/or mechanical code.
  • Have knowledge of the ADA code.
  • Have knowledge of AHCA where applicable.
  • Read submittal sheets for rough‑in fixtures, carriers, equipment, etc.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability.
  • Anticipate changes in schedule and prioritize workload.
  • Adhere to budgets for accurate cost to complete.
  • Deal with BIM and fabrication/coordinate.
  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • Communicate daily with the project manager about crew, material, or other issues.
  • Follow and enforce all safety and operational rules required by WRN and the GC for that site.
  • Bring optimization to work every day.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of plumbing and/or mechanical construction field experience; a journeyman’s license in the respected trade is a plus.
  • Successfully complete the Human Resources onboarding process and pass the Safety Orientation training independently, with full understanding of the content delivered by the instructor and associated exams.
  • Ability to receive and understand instructions provided by the supervisor and communicate directly with them without the need for interpretation services.
  • Full understanding of and compliance with workplace safety instructions in English; reasonable accommodations will be provided as necessary.
