Job summary

Sharyland Water Supply Corporation is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to deliver safe, reliable water service by operating and supporting equipment used to install, repair, and maintain water infrastructure across the system. Your typical shift runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment for excavation and trenching, supporting water line installs and repairs, coordinating with field crews, and maintaining equipment

Qualifications

• Proven ability to operate heavy equipment safely on jobsites and, as needed, on roadways.
• Working knowledge of trench safety/OSHA practices and utility-locate processes (Texas 811).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned heavy equipment for excavation, trenching, hauling, and placement of underground infrastructure
• Support new water line installs; water line/valve repairs and installations; sludge removal/hauling; grounds, pavement, and concrete repairs
• Work around buried utilities and complete required documentation/work orders
• Maintain equipment through routine service, lubrication, and readiness checks
