Zusammenfassung

City of Fort Worth is hiring Senior Equipment Operators to operate heavy machinery in support of vital water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is part of the 24/7 Field Operations Division, with on-call and after-hours duties in emergencies.

Responsibilities include trenching, pipeline repair, and responding to outages. A Texas CDL A with clean record is required, plus the ability to obtain a Class D license within 12 months.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is REQUIRED.
• At least 3 years of professional experience operating motorized heavy equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, front-end loaders, or excavators (REQUIRED).
• The ability to pass a hands-on heavy equipment test during the interview process.
• A valid Texas Class A CDL driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• The ability to obtain a TCEQ Class D Water or Wastewater Collection I license within 12 months of hire (written test and background check required).
• The ability to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
• The ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in outdoor, extreme weather conditions.

Aufgaben

• Operate advanced heavy equipment (backhoes, bulldozers, cranes, dump trucks, excavators).
• Install, maintain, and repair water and wastewater pipelines.
• Locate and isolate leaks by operating valves on water mains.
• Assist in construction and repair of water/sewer mains, hydrants, and taps.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections and routine equipment maintenance.
