Job summary

Gulfshoresal is seeking a lead heavy equipment operator to support the Water & Wastewater Division. The role requires operating heavy and hydro-excavation equipment, performing pre- and post-use inspections, and ensuring safety during construction and maintenance of pipelines, hydrants, valves, and manholes.

The position is based on a 36-hour workweek (Mon-Thu, 6:00am–3:00pm) with on-site duties and potential after-hours calls.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED and minimum two years of related experience.
• Requires Texas Class A CDL.
• Preferred Grade C Water Distribution and/or Class II Wastewater Collection Certification by TCEQ.

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of heavy equipment and specialized excavation equipment.
• Daily pre-use inspection and post-use maintenance of equipment.
• Support Water & Wastewater Division in construction, repair and maintenance of pipelines, mains, valves, hydrants, and manholes.
