Fisher Industries, a diversified heavy civil construction company, seeks a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment used in concrete paving operations. This role involves extensive out-of-state travel and independent field work across active construction sites.

Eligible candidates must meet the experience and safety requirements, including the ability to pass drug screenings and the ability to obtain military installation access as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with electronic diagnostic software and troubleshooting equipment.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on heavy construction equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on paving equipment, trucks, and support machinery.
• Repair and rebuild major components including engines, hydraulic systems, pumps, final drives, and undercarriage components.
• Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
• Utilize diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools to identify equipment issues.
• Complete field repairs to minimize equipment downtime and maintain production schedules.
• Communicate with operators regarding equipment performance and maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
