Job summary

The State of Wyoming seeks a Health and Safety Inspector to enforce OSHA standards across workplaces in Wyoming. You will conduct inspections, collect samples, and assess air quality, noise, and ergonomics to protect workers.

Travel up to 50% of the time is required, with responsibilities including investigations, documenting findings, and issuing citations. Strong IH knowledge and reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or higher.
• Experience with industrial hygiene principles and OSHA enforcement preferred.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health and safety inspections and investigations across Wyoming.
• Develop sampling plans using IH instruments to assess air, noise, chemicals, ergonomics.
• Investigate accidents and complaints, document findings with reports and photos.
• Interview employers and workers to evaluate exposure and knowledge of safety requirements.
• Issue citations and recommend abatement; input data into OSHA Information System.
