Job summary

Centene in New York is seeking a Health Benefit Representative to educate and assist individuals enrolling in NY State of Health Marketplace coverage (Medicaid, CHP, EP, QHP, HARP).

This field-based role in Dutchess County requires Spanish fluency preferred, completion of NY State of Health training, and strong customer service skills; evenings and weekends may be required. Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of prior experience in managed care, sales, customer service or related experience preferred.
• Must have prior Public Speaking experience.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist individuals with enrolling in coverage through the NY State of Health Marketplace, including Medicaid (NYM), CHP, EP, QHP, and HARP.
• Explain eligibility for public programs and cost-sharing mechanisms to consumers.
• Teach members about Fidelis digital tools (member portal, mobile app).
• Describe plan features, benefits, and metal tiers and how income affects benefits.
• Assist consumers with submitting required documents via scan, fax, or mail and support renewals.
• Work in a field-based capacity within Dutchess County and maintain compliance with privacy standards.
• Handle data entry and maintain daily tracking in CRM; participate in trainings and recertification.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required.
