Job summary

Hawk-Eye Innovations (HEI) seeks a Hardware Operations Engineer – Baseball to support onsite installation, maintenance, and hardware QA across Hawk-Eye and KinaTrax Baseball systems. The role blends field service with remote monitoring and kit preparation, with extensive travel to stadiums (up to 80%).

This hands-on position offers a clear development path toward leadership and will involve collaboration with multiple engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in hardware support, IT operations, field service, broadcast tech, or sports technology.
• Solid understanding of camera systems, servers, networking equipment, power systems, and cabling.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80% during peak installation windows).

Responsibilities

• Travel to stadiums to support onsite installations, maintenance, repairs, and hardware QA for Hawk-Eye and KinaTrax Baseball systems.
• Perform hardware checks across cameras, servers, networking gear, power systems, and cabling.
• Act as first line of defense for hardware troubleshooting, swap parts onsite, coordinate RMAs, and validate recovery.
• Monitor system health remotely, assist with troubleshooting, and prep offline kits in the warehouse.
• Collaborate with Hardware Leads, Systems Engineering, TechOps, and Project Management to improve deployment standards.
• Shadow leads to grow into more complex hardware work.

Education

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Networking, or Electronics
