Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Business Development Specialist in the Memphis, TN area to grow a strategic distributor dealer network and acquire new accounts. You will travel within the territory, set up new customers, educate dealers, and manage relationships through field visits.

The role emphasizes prospecting, pipeline development, and achieving growth targets while collaborating with internal teams. A base salary + commission structure supports performance-based earnings.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of B2B sales experience preferred.
• Outside sales experience and ability to travel within territory preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop sales.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, pursue, and land new ILD and NAC customers for the Distributor.
• Travel regularly within assigned territory to engage with dealers.
• Educate dealers on programs, products, and training offered by Interstate.
• Maintain relationships with dealers via in-person meetings and site visits.
• Leverage Salesforce daily for prospecting, pipeline development, and closing deals.
• Meet or exceed targets for new unit sales and growth dealer goals.
