Job summary

Travail Employment Group is seeking an Experienced Geotechnical Supervisor to lead a field-based team in the Watford area, supporting clients in the South East. The role focuses on geotechnical and construction materials testing, ensuring compliance with British and European standards.

You will manage field and site activities, drive health and safety, quality and performance, and develop a cohesive Site Services team while liaising with clients and internal staff to deliver timely results.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate technical knowledge in geotechnical or construction materials testing disciplines.
• Solid understanding of the construction industry, preferably materials testing.
• Experience working within UKAS-accredited systems.
• Proven team management experience and self-motivation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the Site Services team across the region.
• Manage departmental resources for smooth day-to-day operations.
• Undertake site tasks to support service delivery and client projects.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to maintain communication.
• Drive continuous improvement in operations, client deliverables and turnaround times.
