Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Full-Time Geotechnical Driller based in Glasgow, KY. The role involves performing soil testing and boring operations, assisting with drilling tasks, and maintaining equipment on-site.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and be able to communicate clearly, perform basic math, and lift heavy loads. Travel and outdoor work in various weather conditions are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and written to complete daily field reports and boring logs.
• Basic math is required for depths of borings and volume calculations.
• Ability to drive non-automatic truck is required.
• Ability to pull trailers in varying length up to 16 feet.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds 50 times per day.
• Occasionally required to lift 150 pounds (about once a week).
• Walking over various types of terrain and bending/kneeling are common.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks in support of drilling operations for geotechnical investigations, including soil testing and borings for various project types.
• Assist Driller with drilling tasks, setting up and operating drilling equipment, transporting materials and recording information.
• Limited operation of dozer to gain access for drilling equipment (training provided) and assist with routine maintenance on drilling equipment.
