Job summary

Raptor Consulting, Inc. is seeking a field technician to assist with rock sample cleaning and identification, logging of drill cuttings, gas integration, and real-time MWD data.

You will analyze logged data, collect drilling parameters, and support daily operations, communicating with the operation geologist and crew on site. You will prepare daily logs and geologic interpretations, participate in geosteering reporting, conduct end-of-well evaluations, and help maintain gas detection equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in field drilling operations.
• Ability to read and interpret geologic data.
• Strong communication with geologists and crew.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and identification of rock samples
• Logging of drill cuttings, gas integration, drilling parameters, and real-time MWD data
• Analysis of logged data
• Data collection of drilling parameters and daily operations
• Communications with operation geologist and personnel on drilling location
• Daily reporting of logs and geologic data/interpretations
• Reporting of geosteering interpretations at regular intervals determined by operation geologist
• Comprehensive end-of-well evaluations/reports
• Maintenance of gas detection equipment
• Perform JSAs before all job duties
