Job summary

Broadbent & Associates, Inc. in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Staff Geologist/Staff Environmental Scientist to support a variety of environmental projects under the supervision of a Senior Geologist.

You will perform fieldwork, conduct soil and groundwater characterization, air sampling, and help with remediation system monitoring, reporting daily activities to the team. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science and 0–2 years of environmental

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Science.
• Zero to two years of environmental-related work experience.
• Ability to work outdoors, traverse moderate terrain and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Technical writing competency.
• Strong technical and computer skills.
• Self‑starter, quick learner and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• GIS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support on environmental projects including Emergency Response, Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments, soil and groundwater characterization, air sampling, remediation system operation and maintenance.
• Conduct field work to drive project execution and ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
• Prepare daily reports and deliver projects on time, within scope and on budget.
