Job summary

Broadbent & Associates, Inc. in Fort Collins, Colorado, is hiring a full-time Staff Geologist / Staff Environmental Scientist to work on diverse environmental projects.

The role involves field work, data collection, and collaboration with senior staff to deliver high-quality results on schedule. The ideal candidate has a geology or environmental science background with up to two years of experience, strong writing and technical skills, and a willingness to work outdoors in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Science.
• Zero to two years of environmental-related work experience.
• Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Technical writing competency.
• Strong technical and computer skills.
• Self-starter with good communication.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• GIS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental projects including Emergency Response, Phase 1 ESAs, soil and groundwater characterization, air sampling, remediation system operation and maintenance.
• Conduct field work and ensure health and safety procedures on site.
• Prepare daily reports and share data with Senior/Associate Scientists to ensure timely, on-budget project delivery.
