Job summary

Intertek-PSI is seeking an Engineering Tech/Field Geologist for our Ripon, Wisconsin office. The role involves on-site observations, sample collection, and geotechnical testing as part of civil and environmental projects.

You will attend client meetings, work in the field, review plans, manage multiple projects, and follow strict safety practices to protect yourself and others on site.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication.
• Ability to work off shifts and overtime.
• Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds frequently; over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to discriminate in sound.
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold).
• Ability to climb occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Will perform on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests associated with geotechnical investigations
• Attend client site meetings and communicate effectively with client and project teams
• Work in the field regularly
• Review project plans and specifications prepared by others
• Work on one or multiple projects at a time
• Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work
