Job summary

Intertek Building & Construction in Waukesha, WI seeks a Graduate Engineer – CMT & Geotechnical to assist with field observations, materials testing, and report preparation under supervision. This role offers exposure to soils, concrete, and geotechnical investigations within our PSI team.

You will support field and laboratory testing, help prepare project plans and schedules, and collaborate with engineers and clients while developing hands-on skills in a growing A/E/C environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited/ABET school.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Able to read and understand work plans.
• Willing to work off shifts and overtime.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable driving record.
• Physical ability to lift 30–50 pounds and up to 15% travel.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform observations and testing of soils, concrete, masonry, steel placement, fireproofing and asphalt.
• Operate testing equipment and report data assessments.
• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil samples and concrete specimens.
• Prepare and review engineering reports and project plans.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules; may assign work.
• Attend client site meetings and develop opportunities.
• Train technicians and field staff.
• Interface with contractors and clients.
