Job summary

Intertek's Ripon, WI office invites an Engineering Tech/Field Geologist to perform geotechnical investigations, sample collection, and field testing on construction and environmental sites. You will collaborate with project teams and clients while working in the field and adhering to strict safety standards.

The role offers diverse field and environmental exposure within the A/E/C industry, with a path for growth in engineering and environmental services at Intertek-PSI.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Ability to work off shifts and overtime.
• Ability to lift 30–50 pounds frequently, occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Comfort with working outdoors in adverse weather and walking/standing for long periods.

What are we looking for?

The Engineering Tech/Field Geologist is responsible for performing a variety of assignment that include independent evaluations on construction and environmental sitesusing standard techniques, procedures and criteria.

What you’ll do:

• Will perform on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests associated with geotechnical investigations
• Attend client site meetings and communicate effectively with client and project teams
• Work in the field regularly

• Work on one or multiple projects at a time
• Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Environmental as well as geo technical or construction testing field experience
