Generator Supercenter in Mt Pleasant, SC is hiring a dependable Generator Mechanic / Service Technician to diagnose, service and repair whole-home standby generators at residential sites. The role involves travel in a company vehicle, working with ATS and electrical systems, and providing top-notch customer communication.
The position offers Mon–Fri hours, full-time employment, and compensation based on experience.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of generator service or related mechanical/electrical work.
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
- Valid driver's license with clean record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
Responsibilities
- Travel to residential job sites using a company-provided service vehicle.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair whole-home standby generators.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components, incl. ATS.
- Read electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
- Communicate service findings and recommendations to customers.
- Document work in service management software.
- Follow safety protocols when working around electricity.
- Support emergency service calls during outages.
