Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an experienced Generator Technician for a travel‑heavy role across our Charlotte and surrounding client sites. The position focuses on maintenance, testing, repair, and readiness of emergency generator systems in diverse settings.

The candidate should have 5+ years in generator maintenance, knowledge of NFPA 110, and be comfortable with extensive travel up to 75% to client locations. A valid driver’s license is required, with safety certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in generator maintenance and repair.
• Experience with diesel, propane and natural gas systems.
• Proficient troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical and control systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA 110 and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on generator systems at client sites.
• Conduct load tests, inspections and annual/duration tests per NFPA 110 and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control faults.
• Maintain CMMS records of maintenance, tests and actions.
• Coordinate with vendors for major repairs and inspections.
• Travel to multiple client sites as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
