Job summary

Cat5 Resources, LLC is seeking a Field Generator Technician to install, repair and perform routine and preventative maintenance on back-up power systems for telecommunication companies, local businesses and emergency responders. The role requires travel, flexibility, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of generator experience.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Basic electrical knowledge required.
• Mechanical background; generator mechanics a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must pass drug and alcohol testing.
• Windows-based software proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and perform maintenance on back-up power systems for telecoms and businesses.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose generator issues.
• Keep knowledge updated on various equipment models.
• Evaluate and recommend repairs as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
