Job summary
100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Generator Service Technician to perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of generator systems from 2KW to 3MW.
The role includes work in both shop and field environments, with potential overnight travel and after-hours on-call rotations. You will diagnose diesel and gaseous fuel systems, interpret schematics, and relay clear maintenance information to customers.
Qualifications
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting aptitude.
- Experience reading electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics.
- Ability to diagnose complex engine and electrical problems.
- Experience servicing generator systems from 2KW to 3MW is preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work irregular hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform generator service and maintenance in shop and field environments.
- Troubleshoot diesel and gaseous fuel systems and perform engine repairs.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, engine, and component problems using diagnostics.
- Read and interpret drawings and service literature; complete service reports accurately.
- Install generator sets and peripheral equipment per engineering specifications.
- Travel to customer locations and work on-site or in shop as needed.
