Job summary
Actalent is seeking a Landfill Gas Technician to join our field services team for operations and maintenance of landfill gas wellfields. You will monitor wells, perform pump maintenance, and support environmental testing while receiving comprehensive on-the-job training.
You will travel regularly to various landfill sites, work outdoors in varying weather, and follow strict safety procedures. The role begins with training at the Independence, MO site and may involve using a company truck for
Qualifications
- Experience in outdoor/field environments.
- Strong mechanical mindset with troubleshooting ability.
- Comfort with frequent travel (6080%).
- Mechanical aptitude for pumps and wellfield components.
- Ability to collect data accurately and use software to interpret results.
- Safe work around hazardous materials and landfill environments.
- Able to work in heat and cold across seasons.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operations and maintenance on landfill gas wellfields.
- Monitor wells with gas analyzers and optimize performance.
- Carry out pump pulling, inspection and maintenance.
- Conduct surface emissions monitoring for compliance.
- Assist with environmental field work and sampling.
- Record field measurements with data collection software.
- Identify mechanical issues and troubleshoot.
- Follow safety protocols around hazardous materials.
