Job summary

TAIT & Associates, Inc in Sacramento, CA, is seeking an experienced Petroleum Service Technician to test, maintain, and repair UST/AST systems at fuel sites. You will work in the field, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years hands-on experience in petroleum equipment service, UST/AST systems or related roles.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and repair of UST/AST equipment.
• Current ICC UST/AST certification(s).
• Current Veeder-Root installation/service certification.
• Working knowledge of petroleum equipment, compliance testing and regulations.
• Experience completing technical service reports and compliance documentation.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Complete required training, including 40-hour HAZWOPER.
• Perform compliance tests (spill bucket, vapor recovery, A/B Inspections, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and repair UST/AST equipment.
• Submit reports and timecards using our digital system.
• Communicate with clients and represent TAIT professionally.
• Work independently and follow all safety protocols.
