Job summary

TAIT is seeking an experienced Petroleum Service Technician to service UST/AST systems at gas stations, marinas, airports, and more. You will test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment while ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance.

The role requires working independently in the field, applying established petroleum industry knowledge, and bringing strong troubleshooting skills to the team. Travel may be involved, with a supportive, safety-focused work culture.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years hands-on experience in petroleum equipment service, UST/AST systems, or a closely related petroleum industry role.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing UST/AST equipment.
• Current or recent ICC UST/AST certification(s).
• Current or recent Veeder-Root installation, service, or related certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete required training, including 40-hour HAZWOPER.
• Perform compliance tests (spill bucket, vapor recovery, A/B Inspections, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and repair UST/AST equipment.
• Submit reports and timecards using our digital system.
• Communicate with clients and represent TAIT professionally.
• Work independently and follow all safety protocols.
