Wolter Inc. is seeking a Field Mechanic based in Rockford, IL to support customers in the surrounding area. You will repair powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, ensuring safe operation and timely service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience repairing forklift trucks and other powered industrial equipment (LP Gas, diesel, electric).
• Completion of required training courses related to equipment service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven time management with ability to handle priorities.

Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned service jobs with accuracy and dedication.
• Collaborate with Lead Field Mechanic and communicate technical challenges.
• Attend service training classes to stay updated on products and procedures.
• Submit daily paperwork including timecards and maintenance reports with signatures.
• Maintain open communication with dispatchers and service office about status and availability.
• Identify jobs that should be sent to the shop for repair and provide recommendations.
• Build and maintain relationships with territory sales representatives for opportunities.
• Uphold safety rules and maintain a safe work environment.
