Job summary

Atlas Toyota Material Handling is seeking a full-time Field Forklift Mechanic to service customer forklifts across the Rockford, IL region. Initial training will occur at the Elk Grove Village shop, with ongoing support from Atlas Companies.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and equipment repair skills.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial or automotive equipment.
• Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training.
• Ability to manage time and attendance; self-motivated with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Toyota and other lift trucks and heavy-duty material handling equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Atlas products.
• Maintain personal technician tools and equipment for safe daily operations.
• Complete service repair assignments in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Participate in monthly safety inspections and toolbox talks to promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
