Job summary

Atlas Field Services is seeking a Contract Forester to join our Georgia team as a full-time employee. The role covers rights-of-way vegetation management, field inspections, and coordination with landowners and contractors across the state.

Ideal candidates have a forestry degree, arborist certification, and several years of utility-focused arborist experience. We value safety, accountability, and practical field skills for managing vegetation in varied terrains.

Qualifications

• Degree in Forestry or related field is required.
• ISA Arborist certification or equivalent degree is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years as inventory/design arborist in utility context.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rights of way to assess vegetation and maintenance needs.
• Utilize client systems and applications for field data.
• Assist with bid maps and work manifests development.
• Research easements for widths, rights, and restrictions.
• Meet landowners to explain vegetation management work.
• Mark work in the field as required.
• Respond to public concerns about the work.
• Assist in developing public relations materials.
• Answer contractor questions on specs and requirements.
• Inspect contractor work for compliance with specs.
• Assist in managing contractors during storm restoration.
• Support special utility projects as assigned.
