Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Foreperson to oversee daily field operations, mentor crew members, and enforce safety protocols across crews in Ohio. You will troubleshoot routine site issues, coordinate training, and manage timesheets and reports to ensure on-time completion of assigned work.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to travel for storm-related assignments.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently in field conditions.
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work overhead as needed.
• Must be able to travel for storm work.
• Weight considerations due to equipment (approx. 300 pounds limit).

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per policy and OSHA guidelines; provides safety training.
• Discusses access, power interruptions, and jobs with property owners; refers complex cases upward.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains reports, timesheets, and crew-related records.
• Controls crew costs and efficient use of resources.
• Furnishes reports to forepersons and utility reps; participates in incident investigations as needed.
• Cooperates with customers and emergency services when blocking streets or driveways.
