Job summary

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Capable of adjusting to field requirements and taking independent action.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight limit not to exceed approximately 300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.
• Must be able to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per company policy and OSHA guidelines.
• Communicates with property owners about access, work scope, and responsibility for damages; refers complex cases to the General Foreperson.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains good customer relations through effective completion of work and proper crew conduct.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports related to crew performance.
• Controls crew costs and optimizes use of people, methods, and equipment.
• Furnishes reports on completed orders, units, and crew time to supervisors.
