Job summary

Cardinal Civil Contracting, LLC is seeking a field crew supervisor to lead a 6–7 person team on water, sewer and storm installations. You will study plans and specs to determine the best methods for pipe placement and ensure accurate grade and alignment using laser and level tools.

The role requires operating heavy machinery, enforcing OSHA safety rules, and performing quality checks to meet project specs. A valid driver's license is essential, and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5+ years of experience installing water, sewer and storm systems.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred, Confined Space and trench safety training required.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, and working in all weather.
• Proficient reading construction drawings and leveling instruments.
• Valid driver’s license with clean DMV; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Crew Management: Supervises a team of 6 to 7 workers, assigns daily tasks and tracks attendance.
• Project Execution: Studies blueprints, specifications, and project layouts for pipe installation.
• Grade & Alignment: Uses laser instruments, grade rods, transit levels and layout tools for correct slope.
• Equipment Operation: Operates heavy machinery to dig trenches, lower pipe and backfill.
• Quality Assurance: Inspects completed work to meet inspections and specs; conducts acceptance testing.
• Site Safety: Enforces OSHA regulations and safety protocols on site.
