Job summary

The role reports to the Region Planning Manager and requires substantial field time to support operability and ready-to-log targets.

Responsibilities include validating candidates, preparing prescriptions, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and managing data, budgets, roads, and ditch priorities to improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in forestry planning, harvesting, silviculture, or roads.
• Knowledge of BMPs, safety, environmental requirements, and field ops.
• Proficiency with MS Office and willingness to learn GIS and planning systems.
• Ability to spend significant time in the field while managing office work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain annual and 3–5 year harvest plans.
• Validate harvest candidates, prepare prescriptions, and consider environmental factors.
• Mark stream boundaries, conduct cruising, and support ready-to-log expectations.
• Coordinate with harvest, marketing, silviculture, land use, and contractors.
• Manage planning data, budgets, road/ditch maintenance, and process improvements.
