Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services in Minnesota is seeking skilled diesel technicians to diagnose, inspect, and repair Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. You will tackle brakes, electrical, A/C, engine work, and related systems while delivering top-notch service in a fast-growing fleet network.

You should have 3+ years of experience, a valid driver's license, the ability to lift 50+ pounds, and comfort using billing tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience repairing Commercial Tractor and Trailers.
• Experience with annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record & no suspensions.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Comfortable working with Computers for billing and work orders.
• Follows verbal and written work orders to stay on track with daily repairs.
• Confident explaining a diagnosis over the phone and helping the customer decide next steps on repairs.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair Class 6-8 tractors and trailers, including brakes, electrical, hydraulic, A/C, engine, exhaust, systems, components and after-treatment systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections; service and replace parts like tires, hubs, axles, and lift-gates.
• Write work orders and open/close repair orders on a company device for mobile road calls and in-yard work.
• Inspect tractors and trailers to meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.
• Manage service truck inventory and source parts from local vendors.
• Complete inspection reports and DOT documentation accurately and on time.
• Deliver strong customer service and report findings to management.
