Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience repairing Commercial Tractor and Trailers.
• Experience performing federal inspections and brake inspections.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Comfortable using computers for billing and work orders.
• Follows verbal/written work orders to stay on track.
• Confident explaining a diagnosis to customers and advising next steps.
• Self-motivated with strong organization and planning.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair Class 6-8 tractors and trailers, including brakes, electrical, hydraulic, A/C, engine, exhaust, and after-treatment systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections; service and replace tires, hubs, axles, and lift-gates.
• Write and manage work orders for mobile road calls and in-yard work.
• Inspect tractors/trailers to meet DOT road-safety requirements.
• Manage service truck inventory and source parts locally.
• Complete inspection reports and DOT documentation accurately and on time.
• Deliver strong customer service and report findings to management.
