Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services is seeking skilled automotive technicians to diagnose, repair, and maintain Class 6-8 tractors and trailers. You’ll handle brakes, electrical, hydraulic, A/C, engine, and other systems while performing DOT inspections and routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years fixing Class 6-8 tractors and trailers.
• Experience with annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Comfortable using computers for billing and work orders.
• Follows written and spoken work orders for repairs.
• Able to explain a diagnosis over the phone.
• Self-motivated with strong organization and planning.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair Class 6-8 tractors and trailers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections; service tires, hubs, axles, lift-gates.
• Write work orders and update repair orders on company device for mobile/yard work.
• Inspect tractors/trailers to meet US DOT safety requirements.
• Manage service truck inventory and source parts.
• Complete inspection reports and DOT documentation accurately and on time.
• Deliver strong customer service and report findings to management.
