Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Inspector to conduct routine inspections, testing and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines. You will document deficiencies, follow a structured inspection schedule and perform minor repairs.

Lifting up to 70 lbs and field installation support may be required in a fast-paced, unionized environment. Requires 3+ years in sprinkler systems, ability to read blueprints, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment up to 50-70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect routine inspections, testing, servicing and preventative maintenance on life safety product lines.
• Document deficiencies found during inspections.
• Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding.
• Maintain a structured inspection schedule and perform minor repairs and programming changes.
• Assist with installation of sprinkler systems and related work.
