Job summary

NSG Life Safety LLC is seeking an Applications Engineer II to support installation, programming, commissioning, testing, and closeout of fire, security, and communications systems at customer sites. The role requires field service experience, the ability to read drawings and specifications, and a current license or credential for applicable systems; local travel and valid driver's license are necessary.

Qualifications

Massachusetts: D license or B license required.
Rhode Island: BF license or RI electrician license required.
Maintain licenses/credentials in good standing.
Experience with fire alarm, electronic security, low-voltage, or integrated systems.
Ability to program, troubleshoot, test, or commission systems.
Read and interpret project documents and drawings.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical resource for NSG fire, security, and communications system offerings.
Perform system programming, troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and field services.
Support project execution and closeout of assigned work.
Develop and maintain technical reference materials for field use.
Coordinate with electricians and installers during installation and commissioning.
Communicate project progress and outstanding items to stakeholders.
Maintain and update manufacturer software and updates.
Maintain licenses/ credentials required for the role.
Review project documents to support planning and execution.
Survey existing systems and advise on retrofit/upgrade approaches.
Demonstrate proficiency across NSG product offerings.
Participate in company training and professional development.
