Job summary

Hardy Industries in the United States is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our national client base. This role involves certifying fiber links with OTDR, performing fusion splicing, troubleshooting impairments, and documenting results while traveling to various sites.

As a 1099 contractor, you will work on diverse environments including retail, medical, and data centers. A reliable vehicle, valid license, and fiber/test equipment familiarity are required; travel

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Fiber, IT, or Telecom experience.
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources, and certification equipment.
• Ability to read diagrams and technical docs.
• Must have reliable vehicle and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber testing and splicing using fusion and mechanical methods.
• Conduct OTDR, power meter, light source tests and certify fiber links.
• Identify faults and troubleshoot impairments across networks.
• Document test results, splicing records, and project deliverables.
• Install, terminate, and test single-mode and multi-mode cabling.
• Work independently across diverse environments and coordinate with clients.
