Job summary

Viaero Fiber Networks seeks experienced Fiber Splicing Technicians to splice, test, and repair fiber optic cables across the network. Regional travel is required and lodging is provided during travel, with per diem for meals.

The role emphasizes accurate QA/QC, tool management, and coordination with field teams to maintain high network uptime. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of telecom splicing experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a DOT physical and background

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of fiber splicing experience in telecom.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical.
• Pre-employment checks including background and drug screening.
• Proficiency in fiber splicing, testing and troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and perform field work.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic splicing, testing and terminations.
• Conduct mass ribbon, fusion, single node splicing and testing.
• Troubleshoot and repair fiber paths and networks.
• MDU/MTU fiber installations and route selection.
• Complete drop burial forms and manage splicing in data closets.
• Collaborate with field service teams to ensure efficient operations.
