Job summary

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL with a clean driving record (CLASS A within 6 months if not already held), and OSHA 10 certification within 6 months. Flexibility for varied shifts and travel is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL with a good driving record; if no CDL, obtain within 30 days and CLASS A within 6 months.
• OSHA 10 construction certification within 6 months.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to perform calculations (discounts, percentages, volumes).
• Flexibility to work day/evening/night shifts, overtime, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of underground conduit, handholes, pedestals and racks using trenching, plowing, or drilling methods.
• Assist with placement of underground pipes, innerducts and vaults for cable installation.
• Perform potholing and support aerial cable and pole installations.
• Frame and transfer cables on utility poles and related hardware.
• Operate equipment and load/transport heavy gear to job sites.
• Conduct line maintenance and repair for subscriber infrastructure and perform flagging as required.
