Job summary

The JOY FM is seeking a Family Support Manager for Southwest Florida Hendry/Glades (Field) to work directly with families in crisis through Better Together’s Better Families Program. You will assess needs, pair families with vetted volunteer hosts, and develop personalized plans to guide families toward stability and reunification.

The role requires substantial field work, flexible hours, and travel across the community, with a focus on compassionate coaching and crisis support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, counseling, public health, sociology, family studies, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication, leadership, organization, problem-solving, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
• Must have reliable vehicle and be willing to travel extensively in the community.
• Florida Child Welfare Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with families experiencing crisis and support reunification goals.
• Assess family needs and match with approved volunteer host or mentor families.
• Facilitate intakes and develop individualized support plans and life goals.
• Provide ongoing coaching to help families achieve stability and successful reunification.
• This is primarily field-based with community-based responses to crisis and travel as needed.
