Job summary

Gulf Coast JFCS in Kissimmee, FL seeks a Family Support Specialist to provide on-site, individual, and family intervention as part of a team with case managers and other professionals. You will support foster parents, primary caregivers, and guardians, addressing issues like substance use, stress, and daily living skills.

The role includes transportation of participants, crisis intervention, documentation, and potential court participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year experience with children and/or families preferred.
• Must display empathy and de-escalation skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license with auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site, individual, and family intervention.
• Transport and supervise children and case participants.
• Support foster parents and caregivers with training and crisis intervention.
• Prepare and submit documentation for services within required timeframes.
• Participate in on-call rotation and court proceedings when required.
