Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a facility maintenance technician to support stores in Denver, CO. You will drive to assigned stores daily, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and document repairs and parts usage.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year electrical/mechanical maintenance experience, valid driver’s license, and ability to work nights, weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and overtime.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics.
• EPA Type 1 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Drive independently to stores on a daily basis as assigned.
• Assist with and perform preventive maintenance tasks on building and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment as directed.
• Assist in performing component replacement.
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
• Operate equipment, vehicles, and lifts safely.
• Complete all repair, labor, and parts documentation promptly.
• Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
• Assist other skilled trade technicians as requested.
• Physical demands include standing/walking, lifting up to 70 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in varied temperatures.
