Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services in Fremont, CA, seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to deliver reliable service across multiple client sites. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, engage with customers, and use trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and painting to keep properties in prime condition.

You will travel between properties with a company vehicle, document work orders, and uphold safety standards while supporting energy-efficiency upgrades and routine

Qualifications

• HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care, preferred.
• Two to five years of general maintenance experience, including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions including safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems such as repair and unclog toilets, urinals, replace and maintain valve assemblies, toilets and faucet fixtures.
• Performs routine painting, carpentry work, general maintenance to keep facilities in like-new condition.
• Repairs and routine maintenance of walls, floors, doors and painting/touch up for beautification of facilities.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance as allowed without a license within state law requirements.
• Completes service inspections and asset inspections as needed.
• Creates a positive climate with the client, maintains communications with customer and internal teams.
• Obtains safety training and attends weekly safety meetings.
• Provides estimates for larger projects and services onsite.
